The 2007 RSGIS Workshop

The 23rd annual Remote Sensing & GIS Workshop will be held in Lafayette, Louisiana on May 21-24, 2007. The workshop is honored to have Mrs. Kari Craun, President of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing as this year's Keynote Speaker. About the Workshop

The annual Louisiana Remote Sensing & GIS Workshop (RSGIS) is the State’s premier conference for geospatial information technology and services professionals, including automated mapping / facilities management, cartography, land use and land management, geographic information systems, remote sensing and photogrammetry, and other related geospatial technologies.

Held annually, the RSGIS Workshop has been Louisiana’s ideal venue for exploring interesting, innovative, and world-class information about the geospatial activates and efforts throughout the state. The workshop represents Louisiana’s largest gathering of geospatial information technology (GIT) professionals. The RSGIS provides the perfect opportunity to view demonstrations, explore the latest research, visit with vendors, and participate in open discussion forums.

Who Attends the Workshop?

All GIT professionals are encouraged to attend. New and experienced GIT users will discover a community of peers eager to share ideas, experiences, and practical approaches to their GIT efforts. Attendees include:

  • Technical personnel who support geospatial technology and services
  • Analysts and modelers responsible for developing advanced spatial analysis of objects and events that impact Louisiana ’s environment, business, and society
