How to use Meta Parser ( mp ):

 updated on 19990828

One of the more difficult tasks associated with metadata creation is using the parser.  Not because it is hard to accomplish, rather because it is difficult to explain...

Many PC users cringe at the thought of using DOS (Disk Operating System).  Because mp is a DOS based application, learning to use it is more difficult.  To accomplish the task, the Metadata WorkBook introduces "How to use Meta Parser": Three lessons that will  assist your understanding of mp and how best to use it.

Over the next month, the Metadata WorkBook will introduce one lesson every week detailing the steps necessary to successfully parse a metadata record.  You will be able to learn at your own pace using real world examples.

Where do I begin?
