INTRODUCTION:
Initiated by the
Louisiana Geographic
Information Center (LAGIC), the Metadata WorkBook is a supplemental guide to educate
geospatial data providers in accurate and efficient techniques for metadata creation.
Navigating the Metadata WorkBook is
easy: Key concepts are easily accessible beneath the NAVIGATION
banner, located in the upper left corner of this window.
Additional navigation is accomplished using the links
beneath the page title when applicable.
SOFTWARE:
There are two powerful metadata applications included: CorpsMet95
and MP. Each are
discussed in detail in various parts of this site.
"How-to" information for both products are available in the Software
section of this workbook.
UPDATES:
New versions and revisions will be available on a regular basis.
Visit here often to obtain the latest information, updates, and
software.

The Metadata WorkBook is best viewed at
800x600
resolution.
This Digital Workbook has been
tested on both Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 and 5.0 and
Netscape
Navigator 4.6. However, Dynamic HTML functions
imbedded in
this site do not work in Netscape Navigator.
In order to experience
certain features and browsing functions of this workbook, it is recommended (but not
required) that you use MS Internet Explorer 4.0 or greater to
view these pages.
