The featured data collection is the Louisiana GIS Digital Map – May 2007 Compilation DVD. This 2-DVD collection has numerous publicly available geospatial data layers pertinent to oil spill prevention, contingency planning, response, damage assessment, and environmental restoration.
This collection has been designed to provide easy access to the most recent and essential geospatial data of Louisiana in a convenient distribution format.
Download & Instructions
The 2007 Compilation DVD images (Volume 1 and Volume 2) are now available for download. The *ISO disc image files have been compressed and spanned across multiple zip files.
You must download each zip file before extracting the content.
Download each of the zip files listed for the selected volume.
Extract the files on your hard drive that has at least 16GB of free space for each volume (8GB for the downloads, and 8GB to extract the files). WinZip and RARLab software can do this for you.
Use a DVD±DL compatible DVD recorder and recording software (i.e. Nero, Roxio, etc.) to transfer the ISO image to your DVD±DL (8GB) disc.
After you verify a successful copy to DVD, you may delete the files downloaded files to free-up hard drive space.
Alternative Instructions for Non-Disc extraction:
Use ISOBuster or RARLab Software to extract the contents of the ISO formatted file to your hard drive.
