   Census Blockgroups features defining the Enterprise Zones within each parish were extracted and saved as a new feature class. Attributes provided by the LA Dept. of Economic Development were added to the features.

   Attributes were defined by Louisiana Enterprise Zone Program Coordinator - Financial Incentives Division, Office of Commerce and Industry, Department of Economic Development.

   Positional Accuracy is consistent with that defined by the TIGER/Line 2005 First Edition data issued by the U.S. Census Bureau.

   Parish Enterprise Zone definitions were provided by the Louisiana Department of Economic Development (LDED). The data consisted of the Census Blockgroup and Tract designation, 2000 population, and associated Louisiana Planning and Development District.

   The smallest unit of an Enterprise Zones (EZ) is the Census Blockgroup. Aggregated Blockgroups define Census Tracts, which are used to define the extent of the EZ. TIGER/Line 2005 First Edition Blockgroups and Tracts were used for this dataset.
