The
Louisiana Geographic Information Center (LAGIC) was created in 1998
by the Louisiana Office of the Data Base Commission (now called
Office
of Electronic Services) in order to provide administrative and
technical services for the Louisiana
Geographic Information Systems Council (LGISC).
Since then, LAGIC has established itself as a critical
resource and contributing member of the Louisiana geospatial community,
providing outreach, data and technical services, and more to local,
state, and private entities in Louisiana.
